About
Background
I grew up in a small village, Mishriwala, in Punjab, India. This is where I developed my very first love for design. As a teenager, I used to draw logos like Nike and Adidas to perfection. I always knew that there is something between designing and me.
I did Bachelor’s of Computer Science and Engineering from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana (2003-07). During college, I started using Photoshop and became passionate about web design. I used to design wallpapers in my free time.
After leaving college, I started learning XHTML and CSS (I have read over 35 design books in 2 years). I am a self-taught designer. Since then, I am working as a freelance web designer.
I am grateful to God for everything I have and don’t have.
About this site
This site uses ubiquitous but beautiful— “Times New Roman” for text-logo, headings, and body text. “A Way Back” served as my portfolio for one and a half year. Since August 2009, my wife – Harjot, customized it into the blog using WordPress.
I (sometimes) love to style individual posts for my blog.
